The palm heart tree (//Euterpe edulis// Mart.) is a very characteristic species of the Atlantic forests and usually occurs with high densities in more preserved areas. We will now analyze the data referring to a population of palm hearts that occurs in a portion of Restinga forest on Ilha do Cardoso, Brazil.
